February 2010 Update

DIANE AND WAYNE MACLEOD
FEBRUARY MINISTRY UPDATE

DEAR FRIENDS
Again it is with gratitude in our hearts that we send you this February email update. We recognise the importance of your role in standing with us. Your prayers, encouragement, counsel and financial support has enabled us to be more effective in the work God has called us to do.

CARING FOR THE FAMILY
One of the most important roles God has given Diane has been to support and encourage. She has been doing this by taking care of our grandson Joshua for four or five days a week so Alisa can work. As his grandfather, I have been the consistent male influence on his life. I recognise this as an important role the Lord has given me as well.

To give Alisa and Joshua their own space, Diane and I have moved everything downstairs. They now have their own "apartment" upstairs. This arrangement seems to work well for both of us.

Diane spent a week and a half with Christina in Grand Manan, NB. She was feeling discouraged, somewhat homesick and unwell with her pregnancy. Diane's time with her was a help.

We also had two days with my parents. My father is recovering from a cancer operation so they need extra help at this time.

REVISION OF ROMANS COMPLETED
In January I was able to complete a revision of my commentary on Romans. I am thankful to a brother who pointed out some ways of improving and clarifying some issues. These revisions could not be made earlier due to copyright considerations. Authentic Media is now releasing their restrictions so I have more freedom with the books.

KOREAN BIBLE COMMENTARY TO BE RELEASE SOON
The main focus last month was on the translation of my commentaries into Korean. Matthew, Mark and Luke is scheduled to be released in Korea this month. This is the first book in the Light To My Path Devotional Commentary Series to be released in Korean. I have now submitted commentaries on Matthew-Colossians to Mission World Library Inc., for translation and publication in Korean. I am now preparing 1&2 Thessalonians and 1&2 Timothy.

COMMENTARY ON GENESIS IN FINAL STAGES
My commentary on the book of Genesis is now going through final proof reading. As soon as the corrections have been made I will do the layout, cover design and put this on my shelf for distribution.

BIBLE COMMENTARY FOR HAITI
It has been a personal burden for a number of years now to translate my commentaries and Bible Studies into Haitian Creole. The problem was finding someone who could translate from English. The Lord has now provided me with this translator. At the advice of a missionary colleague who works in Haiti, I have submitted my commentary on the book of Job. The translator has agreed to do this work for just under CAD $800. He will send me the electronic file and I can then produce the books and ship them into Haiti as the Lord opens doors.

OFFICE HELP
I am thankful to Jim and Marion Arnott (Diane's parents) who have given of their time to help in packaging books for shipment. This week they also ventured into the realm of data entry. This frees me up to work on other things.

FINANCES
As with many missionaries in these days we have often fallen short of our required support. Our support account has been $2,0000+ in the hole now for about six months. We have been asking the Lord for greater provision.

HOW TO PRAY THIS MONTH:

Praise
* For the opportunities the Lord has provided for us to minister to the needs in our own family.
* For the translation opportunities in Korean and Haitian Creole.
* For the revision of Wayne's commentary on Romans.
* For the help Wayne has had in packaging books for distribution.
* For the successful translation into Korean of the first commentary in the Light To My Path Devotional Commentary series on Matthew, Mark and Luke.

Prayer
* The ongoing translation of the series of Bible commentaries into Korean.
* The translation into Haitian Creole of
Wayne's commentary on the book of Job.
* The final proof reading and publication of a commentary on the book of Genesis. * Wisdom as we seek to encourage and minister to the needs in our own family.
* For the Lord's direction in regards to invitations received for overseas ministry.
* For the Lord's provision for the financial need in our support account.

THANK YOU
Thank you for your prayers and support in many different ways. We value all those who stand with us in this calling. May the Lord bless each of you as you too follow his direction and leading in your lives.
